About
Department of Electronics & Communication (EC) was formed in 1998 to meet the engineering manpower requirement in the emerging fields of Communication & Electronics. The course curriculum has been so designed as to meet the industrial needs. The Department has well equipped laboratories with required software & hardware. As a part of the course curriculum the students have to complete a project with industry in their last semester. For project work, the students are sent to renowned Industries / Organizations like Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), Institute of Plasma Research (IPR), Physical Research Laboratory (PRL), Sibridge Technology, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), e-Infochips, BSNL, Reliance communications, Tata Nano etc.
Beside study, EC students are regularly participating in various events at National level Technical competition and also win prizes.
Majority of the students are either employed or have proceeded for further studies in India as well as abroad. Our students have been employed in reputed organizations like TCS, PCS, Infosys, Wipro, e-Info chips, Reliance communications, Sibridge Technology etc.
All faculties of EC department have M.E./M.Tech. Degrees and among them seven faculties are currently pursuing Ph.D. in different areas.
