The faculty coordinator Prof.P.C.Patel and Co-coordinator Prof.N.A.Modi are Establish and Conduct Aeromodelling club at our U. V. Patel College of Engineering by initiative help of Dr.P.H.Shah (UVPCE Principal),Skill Development cell coordinator Prof.Unnat Patel.
The Aeromodelling is a cultural and sport activity that allows to study the foundations of the aeronautical theory and the practice of the flight, the knowledge of materials and structures. It is both a hobby and sport; the hobby aspect involves building and assembling model aircraft, and the sport part involves the flying. While Aeromodelling has reached a certain degree of sophistication, one can build a model plane from any material which may include Paper, Balsa, Composites so on and so forth.
Aim of this club is to develop an interest in Aeromodelling among the students and giving good feel of the actual flying machines by working on the models. This club will enhance the knowledge of student and motivate them to compete in the global competitive engineering field and they can make awareness about fast growing technologies.
Students are designing, building and flying miniaturized aircrafts (powered or non-powered) in the club. We offer intensive Aeromodelling Training to introduce this fascinating sport and hobby to young college students. The workshop is dedicated to learn the technology behind making of Model aircrafts along with hands-on exposure in designing, simulating in computer and building a model airplane (Glider).we are provide needful equipment to students.
During this training program we have arranged one day workshop on real aircraft at Mehsana Airfield.
This Aeromodelling training activity are divided in total Approximately 78 hours in which Prof.P.C.Patel, Prof.N.A.Modi , Mr.Pankaj Paneria take expert lecture.
In this club students are made different 12 Models Power-Non Power Aircrafts using aerodynamic principle and assemble all electric parts of model of aircraft. Also they have ability to fly model of aircraft by using radio controller.
